In 2003 he was a Finalist winner in the The Artist's Magazine annual competition, which included over 13,000 National and International entries. He is a signature member of the National Society of Artist and serves on the Executive Board of the Visual Arts Alliance
His unique approach presented in this art form referred to as "Dripism", as well as the techniques employed are unusual and captivating. This methodology evolved beginning in 2000 through years of extensive trial and error efforts to achieve a new vision of Landscape paintings and stretch the viewer's imagination to a level he was unable to achieve with traditional tools (To that point, no brushes, canvas, palettes, knives, oils, etc. are used in the process).
The Artist:
"An artist is an illusionist on the surface. You are attempting to represent something on a 2-D surface that seems to be 3-D. The distinction between the beloved works by Frederic Edwin Church, Claude Monet, Bierstadt, Thomas Moran, the Hudson River Artist and thousands of other landscape artist too numerous to mention is vast and represent the wide range of styles, techniques and expressions available to Artist willing to reach further to obtain personal satisfaction in their efforts (Critical review of every single one of the aforementioned artist was polarizing). I had a vision that I would one day find a way to draw upon the works of artist who have come before me and incorporate my love of sunrises and sunsets and unify those into a new vision of Landscape paintings. To describe this artform, I use the term "Dripism" relating to the way I drip paint on the surface and the way the paint drips off the surface;
Directional but free, Influenced but not controlled, Controlled but not directional".
